Texlon® HD self-adhesive soft tapes

A self-modelling gasket tape made of soft and flexible non-sintered expanded 100% PTFE. Texlon® HD tape has a higher density than Texlon® semi HD tape and this increases its mechanical strength against compression. Texlon® HD tape resists chemical products with the exception of alkaline substances and is usually supplied with bi-adhesive film which facilitates application. The PTFE raw material is WRAS Approved and certified by the manufacturer in compliance with Reg. EC 1935/2004 and Reg. EC 2023/06. With reference to Ministerial Decree 21.03.1973, analysis of the plastic material for planned use, as M.O.C.A., verified compliance in overall migration in 3% acetic acid simulant B for 2 hours at 100°C. Texlon® tape complies with regulation EC 1935/2004 and the product, without bi-adhesive, is considered compliant with use in contact with food at temperatures between 0°C and 100 °C for a useful time up to two hours. Texlon® is also “TA Luft” approved based on the TÜV and VDI 2440 method and meets the requirements of TÜV-Testing Standard MUC-KSP-A 0066. According to the regulations of the FDA and WRC.

Flanged connections, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, applications where sealing is required with a gasket that must compensate coupling imperfections.
