STOPFIBER 100

A compound containing expanded PTFE impregnated with pure graphite, lubricants, thixotropic gels and additives to dissipate heat. Used in place of traditional braided packings, it eliminates or reduces leaks to almost zero. Chemically inert (pH 0 ÷ 14 ), it can be used in the entire system. No measuring is required, it needs no replacements, simply additions. Adjustments to packing glands are reduced to a minimum, as are maintenance operations. It does not score shafts and bushings and can be also used on pumps in poor mechanical conditions. Ideal for pumps, valves and rotating shafts in general. Density: 615 cm3/kg

Applications

Stopfiber is a line of products with an extremely advanced sealing system designed for pumps, valves and rotating shafts in general, which, when inserted in a housing, surround the rotating shaft like a single sleeve which is extremely well lubricated and thereby completely eliminate any point of excessive pressure. Correctly used, Stopfiber products guarantee long life to the entire equipment, even previously damaged equipment. Their regular replacement guarantees a secure, efficient seal with minimum leaks. Containing no asbestos, they do not cause wear and resist high temperatures, aggressive chemical products and high peripheral speeds.
