Muscovite mica sheets / Phlogopite mica sheets

The mica sheets are flexible with excellent thermal, chemical and electrical resistance for applications at very high temperatures even in the presence of oxidizing agents. The sheets are prepared with mineral mica and an appropriate silicone binder. Subsequent layers of insulation are interspersed with the binder, later, they are pressed and dried out. The heat-proof insulation material can be of two types:

• Muscovite (grey with maximum operating time 550°C)
• Phlogopite (green-grey  with  maximum operating time 700 °C)

Applications
Exhaust manifolds, gas and diesel burners, turbine gas and heat exchangers, gaskets for high temperatures.
