Vetronite gaskets
Cod. 3296Vetronite (or epoxy glass or Fiberglass) is a composite material of glass fibres arranged orthogonally between two layers in an epoxy resin matrix, widely used as insulation material, present in many electronic equipment, including household appliances and power tools. Vetronites of type G10 and G11 differ in thermal resistance; the former has a resistance in class B up to 130°C, the second in class F up to 155°C. They possess excellent resistance to mechanical stress, good resistance to thermal changes, excellent capacity as electric insulators, very low water absorption, flame resistance and are self-extinguishing.
Applications
As an excellent insulator on which electronic components. It is present in many elements of household appliances, in molding plastics as insulator between mold and press top, in transformers, supports and electrodynamic panels, and in kit spacers for insulation flanges.
