Grafitol

This is a special compound used for protecting gaskets and increasing water-tightness. It protects contacting metal surfaces against oxidation and increases the resistance of gaskets and stuffing boxes of turbines, compressors, hammers, pumps, taps, etc., in the presence of water, steam and gas, as it forms a thin layer of insoluble protection. It must be spread uniformly onto both the gasket and the metal parts (bolts, screws, flanges).
